 Skate Park at Hannah More
 

 


Hannah More Skate Park:  Completed in October, 2006 this skate facility features a mini-half pipe with spine, Grind box, Hip, Launch ramp with skate table, Grind Rail, Skate Bench, Manual, Grind Ledge, Drop-In Combo, Pyramid, and a quarter pipe, enclosed within a 12,800-square foot supervised area. Strapped helmet, elbow- and knee-pads required at all times.

The skate park is supervised by Department of Recreation and Parks staff and have regular hours of operation that vary by season.

While there is no fee for open skate use of the County's skatepark, skateboarders and roller bladers that wish to use the facilities must register at the skatepark and follow the established rules and regulations.


Hours
Park hours are subject to change, and will close if the blacktop and/or skate apparatus is wet.  In event of lightning or thunder, all skaters and visitors must leave the park for 30 minutes after the last sight or sound of thunder/ lightning.

Registration Information:

  • ALL skaters must sign a completed, registration/ waiver form prior to skating for the first time.
  • All forms must be signed in front of a skate park staff to validate the form.  All skaters under 18 MUST have their legal parent/ guardian present to sign the form in front of a skate park staff.  After initial visit, adult chaperon is encouraged, but not required.
  • Skater will be given a registration card, in which he/she must bring with them each and every time they skate.
  • All skaters are asked to update their contact information as soon as possible to ensure accurate information on records, in event of an emergency.  Please give updated information to skate park staff.

Directions:

The park is located at 12035 Reisterstown Road in Reisterstown. From the Beltway, take 795 N to exit 7A for Franklin Blvd. Continue Franklin Blvd to Reisterstown Road make a left. After the shopping center, turn right at light into Hannah More Park driveway, continue to right for parking. Skate Park is behind Chapel and Office Building.

2010 Skate Park Camps:

What:

Week long Beginner, Intermediate and Advance Skateboarding Camp lead by Professional Skater, Gary Smith and assisted by instructors. Register early. Space is limited. Program Flyer
 

Where:

Hannah More Skate Park – in case of rain, camp will be held in the pavilions for work on flat surface skills. Baltimore County directives do not allow programs to be held during periods of thunder or lightening.
 

When:

Session 1: March 29 - April 2, 2010 from 9:00a to 12:00n

Session 2: July 12 - 16, 2010 from 9:00a to 12:00n

Session 3: August 2 - 6, 2010 from 9:00a to 12:00n

Session 4: August 23 - 27, 2010 from 9:00a to 12:00n

  

Cost:

$150 per skater (Cost includes T-shirt, Skateboard deck and Friday Pizza Party)

information:
 

All skaters must be registered skaters and follow the rules as a registered skater. All skaters must wear a strapped helmet, kneepads and elbow pads at all times while skating.
