B.A.R.C. Park at Hannah More (Dog Park)

BARC (Baltimore Animal Recreation Center) Park includes a 1.5-acre park for large dogs and a .75-acre park for small dogs. Both parks include water fountains for the dogs.

BARC Park's mission is to provide a clean, safe and secure off-leash area where well-behaved dogs can socialize, exercise and play. A core group of area dog lovers worked cooperatively with the Department of Recreation and Parks to develop plans and regulations for the dog park. To ensure that BARC Park is a safe and enjoyable experience for both canines and humans, all dogs must be immunized and licensed. Park membership is required each year, as the registration form verifies immunization and licensing. Annual family membership is $25. The Reisterstown Recreation Council manages BARC Park's membership. Register Online Here!

St. Michael's Chapel

Out side St Micheal's Chapel         St Michaels Chapel

It was designed by New York architect John Weller Priest (1825-1859), and constructed about 1853. It was named after Hannah More. It was deconsecrated on May 12, 1978.

St. Michael’s Church is a small, Gothic Revival-style, board-and-batten frame structure. It consists of a nave of three bays, chancel, sacristy on the north, and a porch on the south. The west end presents two lancets and a vescia window, and is surmounted by a simple bell-gable, which, however, is rather of a stone than a timber outline. The side walls of the nave are pierced by lancets and couplets, alternated: the chancel has two lancets on the south side, and a window on the east side of three lights with plain intersecting tracery. The side walls of the nave and chancel are 13 feet high, the porch and sacristy 7 feet. The sacristy roof is a lean-to, coming just under the chancel eaves. The nave, chancel, and porch gables are at an angle of 60 degrees, and are each surmounted by a cross of wood of varying patterns. The roofs project at the gables and have simple vergeboards.

*Please note: This facility is not open nor can be reserved for weddings, services or other forms of public use.*
