In-House Program

All ages are as of December 31st. Evaluations are required for all players and are held at the Hannah More School Gym.

Basketball - Girls

Hello Parents,
It is that time again.
We have been planning various ways to enhance your child’s basketball skills so you will see some changes in what we are doing. Come take a chance with us and bring a friend – you won’t regret it!!

EVERYONE in 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grade who is interested in playing for RRC Girls’ Basketball is invited to Commissioner Mosby and the travel Coaches’ Tryouts on 9/10 between the hours of 9am -12noon. They want to see all the players together to be sure someone who should be encouraged to consider travel is not overlooked.

In-House Leagues
We will be conducting In-House evaluations early for the 6th-7th and 11th-12th age groups; however we will not do the draft until after Middle School and High School tryouts are completed. 2nd -3rd and 4th-5th league draft will happen soon after the evaluations.
Parents if your child is trying out for their middle school team or high school team, you DO NOT have to register prior to evaluation dates, BUT you MUST come to evaluations so that we can get you on a team if you decide to play with our program. NOBODY can be placed on a team unless they have been evaluated. This will avoid having to give refunds.
Times: Weekdays (between hours of 6pm - 9pm); Saturdays (between 9am -3pm);
Sundays (between 10am – 2pm) Specific Days and Times for each league TBA
Locations: All Schools in Reisterstown Area at this point, this is subject to change.

Travel Teams
Parents, a great deal of planning has gone into determining how to get the best out of your child so that they are prepared to advance to the next level of competitive play. These are the new guidelines for playing Travel Basketball under a very experienced and skilled Commissioner in Elmus Mosby.

1. If you are trying out for travel DO NOT register until you have been notified that you have officially made the team.

2. The registration cost for Travel Basketball is $60 and covers you for a Sunday travel league and at least one tournament. All other tournaments will be additional and your coaches will collect the fee. As usual if you need a uniform, there is $75 uniform fee.

3. Anyone who plays travel must also play in-house. In addition to your travel league, you will play 2 games per week for your in-house team. These are 2 different teams as all in-house leagues are split by playing experience to create balanced teams. You will receive directions on how to register by 9/15/2017. See below for in-house fees. EXCEPTION: You may approach the Travel Commissioner for an exception if your child makes their middle school team.

Times: Practice will be weekdays between 6pm – 9pm
Locations: Sundays (Towson or Arbutus League)

Field Hockey - Outdoor

The program practices two to three time per week starting in August. Most games are on Sundays, from September through the end of October. Teams will have the opportunity but not guarantee to participate in an end of season tournament.
