"Where Summer Lasts a Week Longer"
On SATURDAY, our classic Reisterstown Festival Parade kicks festival weekend off at 9:00am by marching down Main Street to the Festival Grounds (Hannah More Park) with lots for all to see and enjoy. Marching bands, fire equipment, antique and sports cars, motorcycles, community groups, businesses, and many more march and ride and spread the community spirit in this exciting traditional main street parade!
At the festival site, Main Stage live music entertainment on Saturday runs the full day from 11am to 10pm and includes some really great acts of many types -- something for everyone! The Baltimore/Washington area is a hotbed of live music and it provides us the vast majority of the amazing talent we host - whether rock blues, pop, funk, jambands, bluegrass, or anything else! Some of our past musical performers in recent years have included Donna the Buffalo, The Ron Holloway Band, Dawgone (with Special Guest Mookie Siegel), Jr. Cline and the Recliners, The Ursula Ricks Project, The LutherVillains Josh Christina & Good Old Stuff, Ocho de Bastos, Bushmaster featuring Gary Brown, Dean Crawford & the Dunn's River Band, StewBone, Smooth Kentucky, Jocelyn Faro & the Ragazzi, The Herd of Main Street, Fake Flowers Real Dirt, Dave Jacobson Band, Anthony "Swamp Dog" Clark, F. T. Blindman, and more.
There are many tables and chairs provided, but feel free to bring your chairs or blankets if you prefer to reserve your favorite spot to watch the bands.
The Reisterstown Festival Motorcycle Show runs from 12pm to 4pm in the Hannah More Center parking lot with an assortment of motorcycles competing for prizes.
The International Beer Garden, located on the lower fields behind the school (down the hill behind the playground), includes beer and wine of many types as well as frozen concoctions. There is a large screen TV for staying up on all the Orioles and Ravens action and other sports. This is also a great spot to catch a great view of the entertainment on the Main Stage. To go with your entertainment, there are many new food and craft vendors participating- the food selection will be greatly expanded compared to prior years.
Always popular is is our expansive Family Fun Area. The Family Fun Area, which is located adjacent to the playground (up the hill from the stage, main vendor area, etc), has live interactive entertainment that will be appreciated by all ages including multiple live performers, audience participation programs, and special child-oriented vendors. A mechanical bull built for safety will be available to try. As always, the Sunshine Playground will also be available for the kids too!
Every year, we schedule some unique and changing entertainment options to add to your festival experience and to provide variety. These have included pony rides, aerial performers, bicycle stunt shows, barbershop singers, magicians, and many other interesting offerings. Check our website to find out what's coming this year!
The traditional big 50/50 Drawing and Festival Raffle Baskets are sure to put a smile on your face should you win.
Don’t miss the always-popular Fireworks show Saturday at 8:45pm. This coincides with the final band on the Main Stage which makes for a truly spectacular concert.
On SUNDAY, activities at the festival run from 11:00am to 5pm.
Sunday provides another full day of some of the area's top live music on the Main Stage.
The Reisterstown Festival Car Show features all kinds of sports, collectible, and antique cars all competing for trophies and honors.
Family Fun Area, Beer Garden, Craft, Food, and other vendors, and additional attractions all return for another full day as well.
On both days, on-site parking (donation requested, free onsite shuttle) is available for those that might like to park a little closer to all the action.
